About Louise Walker
In 1994, Louise Walker’s The Traditional Aga Cookery Book was published. It marked the beginning of a remarkable series of titles that have been consistent sellers and a source of inspiration and reassurance for tens of thousands of Aga owners all over the world. In 2005, Traditional Aga Christmas became the seventh book in the Traditional Aga series.
Louise is regarded by many as the Aga guru, not surprising given her bestselling status and the many demonstrations she performs at cookery classes up and down the country. Her recipes are easy and effective and transfer well to both the Rayburn and conventional oven.
Louise also runs Aga cookery classes from around the four-oven Aga at her home in Bath. She demonstrates to both new and seasoned Aga owners.
The kitchen at The Tyning
The kitchen is the backdrop for all the cookery courses and has been designed for them but also to be the heart of family life.
The Aga is now in a modern setting with the sleek lines of Siematic kitchen units surrounding it. These tie in the stainless steel Gaggenau appliances around the room. Worktops are tough granite and the Amtico floor, though tough is kind on the feet for alot of standing.
The whole kitchen is light and airy and a joy to cook in. |
